"After Alfie leaves Helena to pursue his lost youth and a free-spirited call girl named Charmaine (Lucy Punch), Helena abandons rationality and surrenders her life to the loopy advice of a charlatan fortune teller. Unhappy in her marriage, Sally develops a crush on her handsome art gallery owner boss, Greg (Antonio Banderas), while Roy, a novelist nervously awaiting the response to his latest manuscript, becomes moonstruck over Dia (Freida Pinto), a mystery woman who catches his gaze through a nearby window. Despite these characters’ attempts to dodge their problems with pipe dreams and impracticable plans, their efforts lead only to heartache, irrationality, and perilous hot water..."

    Thanks for the videos!

To view the first part of "Play It Again Sam", I deleted the ending 001, so the file ended with "avi". I had to install DivX and some audio codec to view it. I have a Mac.

I'm trying to view the second part, but it isn't working. I removed the ending "002", and tried to watch it with QuickTime, Real PLayer, DivX and Perian - nothing works. What should I do? I wonder if the origianl file has any kind of problem.

    Thanks for your help!

The only problem is that you don´t have to delete endindgs (.001, .002 ...) to view movie, it doesn´t work well. On home page under the clock is written: "To join files use free HJSplit." Click on it and you will be "teleported" to site where you have to download not HJSplit, but something for MAC - Split&Concat ( http://www.xs4all.nl/~loekjehe/Split&Concat/ ) . Follow the instructions. You will have one movie file. Almost all movies on this blog are splitted, just join it and enjoy it! :)

    Hi!
I did it all, and it was working fine, until the scene where Allen is about to kiss Keaton: the screen got all bizarre and pixelated... What do you think it was?
    Cheers!

THANK YOU a thousand times for making ALL (I think) of the Woody Allen films available...
I am over 60, so I was able to see all the films in order, at the date of their arrival, so I knew what weird and wonderful ideas and inventions they were at the time. As some folks have said here and elsewhere, to the standard movie viewer, Woody seems to be repeating himself, inserting himself in his films like Zelig, and generally, beating the dead horse.
Of course, they don't see him as one of the great, if not greatest, American film artists, as the article by Marshall Fine I just read says, and the link is here:
    http://hollywoodandfine.com/fineblog/?p=651

Woody must be seen as a philosopher, and an American critic, social and art critic, film buff, music buff, and ultimately a comedian, a very advanced form of Jewish Vaudeville gag comedian, for our times. And a lover of New York, and shiksa women, and the one liner, the classic joke, the writer of comedy and films... All that, and more.

As Fine says, somewhat reviled for his personal sexual bad choices, as another great film maker, Roman Polanski, Allen has pursued his destiny.

I applaud him, as I always have, and laugh with him, even when I wish, like more recent films, he was NOT in the movie, but hey, as you have given us, his entire body of work is bigger than he is.

It is classic in fact, ultimately great art, and ...

Thank you, dear blog person, but doing this towering work dedicated to his genius, his crazy comedy, his many thousands of jokes and moments.

Best wishes, and good luck with this email, since you speak another language. Is it Polish?

    Thank you for comment.

I am glad, that I could summerize WA`s work in this blog for people around...

Woody gave me an experience I cannot define, but it was close to "mental or intellectual orgasm", like he would said, maybe.

My language is not Polish, but Slovak, it is quite similiar.

I must agree with the above elaborate comment. Thank you so much for this site and the work you put into it. I love you for it.

    Hi,

We are a Canadian artist collective called The ZippR. Big fans of Woody Allen movies, and big fans of Woody’s background movie sounds.

It inspired us to do this, with an Austrian band called Kruder and Dorfmeister. Check it:

Your site is just GREAT! I wonder why you still use RapidShare, which is a pain in the arse... Megaupload is way better!
    Cheers,

These comments accompanied by Allens faces on the right are hilarious by themselves.

I just read them in a row and he stared at me and I had to grin.

    Thanks for the stuff!
